Hilton Head-Savannah Tour Player Of The Week (Feb. 12, 2011)

Brian Gale (“D” Flight)

Our player of the week for February 12 is Brian Gale. Brian comes to us from Springfield, MA but now resides in Pooler, GA. Brain is a “True Hero” serving our country in the US Army as a Kiowa Warrior Pilot. Brian has been playing golf for about three years and hopes to one day retire from the Army and pursue a career in golf. He would like to be an instructor or in golf management somewhere in Arizona. Brian joined the Hilton Head-Savannah Tour to meet other “Golf Addicts” that love to play this glorious game. His goal for the future is to break 80. We are sure he will accomplish this goal.

Brian played in his first Hilton Head-Savannah Tournament at Crescent Pointe and fired a 98. This put him in a tie with George Story so a playoff ensued. Brian won the playoff on the first hole. What a first tournament, a playoff and a win! “The sand wedge I hit from 20 yards out on 17 to within three feet was what won the tournament for me” said Brian. I am sure this will be the first win in many to come on tour.
